Best Places to Lunch in Springfield

Best Places to Lunch in Springfield

It's no secret 417-land is one of the best places to lunch.  With great options from Japanese to Italian (and everything in-between), there is a great option for just about any taste bud. Here at BluCurrent, we like to support local businesses, especially when that means enjoying a delicious lunch. Read on to learn about the top 5 places to lunch in Springfield, as voted on by us (the BluCurrent employees).

With half price sushi rolls at lunch and many other reasonably priced items, this is a hard place not to like. The Crunchy Roll & California Roll are among our favorites. The service is always great and the staff knows most of us by name. (Maybe that means we go too often, but who could blame us?)

This local burger joint is an experience we're sure you'll love. With multiple big screen TVs running sports channels, you get to watch your favorite sporting event (or multiple at a time) while indulging in a yummy burger and fries. The truffle mayonnaise, salt & pepper fries, Bleus Brothers Burger and Springphilly Burger are among our favorites. When you're ready to visit, you'll have two location to choose from. Trust us, you won't want to miss out on this place!

Springfield has many great sandwich joints, but Penn Station is one of our absolute favorites. We could explain how great the food and service is, but you'll want to be sure and try it out for yourself. The staff knows us by name (again, maybe we visit too often), the food is always delicious, and the cookies are the secret to finishing the meal off right. The Italian Sub, made-to-order freshly cut fries, and lemonade made from fresh lemons are among our favorites. Of course, the Philly Cheesesteak is one of the best, but that's pretty obvious.

This local Italian joint was also voted Best of 417 in 2016 by 417 Magazine. The food is always fresh, never frozen, and always sure to satisfy your taste buds. Some of our favorite lunch options are the Momma, the Fredo, and the bruschetta. It's safe to say the toasted ravioli is one of our top picks based on the amount we go through at staff parties. With two locations to choose from, you'll want to be sure to keep this place in mind next time you want to get out for lunch.

This local restaurant is always a top pick for a longer, enjoyable lunch experience. With reasonably priced fine-dining options over the lunch hour, it's easy for anyone to find something to enjoy. The Caesar Salad is our favorite pick to get your meal started. The bento box and sushi/salad combination are also among our favorites.

Don't just take it from us; go check out some of these great places for yourself! Next time you are in, be sure to let us know what you thought. We're proud to support local and hope you enjoy doing so, too!
