1. Local Recreation Centers
Become a member or take fitness classes through the
Springfield-Greene County Park Board. With three different center locations, various membership options and numerous activities (swimming, walking tracks, outdoor trails, weights, cardio equipment & more), you're sure to find something you'll love! If you live or work outside of Springfield, check and see if your town has a local recreation center. For example,
Nixa Parks & Recreation has a large fitness facility that hosts several group classes. Adult memberships start at just $310/year or $47.50/month and adult non-member rates start as low as $6/day.
Willard Parks & Recreation offers fitness classes starting at just $5/class.
2. Local YMCA
Support a non-profit while getting in shape at your
local YMCA. In Springfield, adults can join for just $45/month. Your membership gives you access to cardio & weight equipment, indoor pool and group exercise classes.
There are two YMCA locations in Springfield to choose from:
Pat Jones YMCA located on E. Republic Rd. and
Ward Downtown YMCA located on S. Jefferson. Each location offers daily passes starting at $12/adult, so becoming a member gives you the most bang for your buck.
3. Community Classes
There are several local fitness studios that offer discounted community classes.
My Hot Yoga and
Pure Hot Yoga offer several classes throughout the week for $10 and less. Be sure to check in with your favorite local studio on discounted classes, with no membership required.
