What is Skip-A-Pay?
Life doesn’t always follow a predictable schedule. Whether it’s holiday spending, winter vacations, or just an unexpected bill at the end of the year, there are times when having a little extra room in your budget can make a big difference. That’s where Skip-A-Pay comes in.
What is Skip-A-Pay?
At BluCurrent, our seasonal Skip-A-Pay program allows members with 1eligible loans to skip either their November or December loan payment simply by paying a small 2fee and processing the request through one of three easy methods.
Instead of making your regular payment that month, you can keep those funds in your pocket to use however you need—without harming your credit standing.
Why Consider Skip-A-Pay?
- Flexibility when you need it most – Everyone’s financial journey looks different, and this program gives you breathing room when expenses are higher than usual—particularly around the end of the year.
- Budget relief – Use the skipped payment to cover seasonal costs, manage an unexpected expense, or simply catch up on other priorities.
- Member-friendly option – Because you’re part of a credit union, programs like this are designed with your financial well-being in mind.
(It’s important to note that interest still accrues during the skipped month, and skipping a payment may extend the length of your loan.)
How Do You Use Skip-A-Pay?
We make it simple to request:
- Online Banking: Login, look for the Skip-A-Pay option, and follow the steps.
- At a Branch: Stop by one of our branches and a team member can walk you through the process.
- By Phone: Call us at 417-887-1983 for quick assistance.
Is Skip-A-Pay Right for You?
Skip-A-Pay can be a helpful tool, but it’s not the right fit for every situation. It’s best used strategically—when skipping one payment can give you breathing room without setting back your priorities and goals. If you’re unsure, one of our team members would be happy to talk it through with you.
