Key Responsibilities 

  • Responsible for interviewing applicants personally or by phone, gathering background information and analyzing loan applicant's credit history.
  • Approves or denies loan applications based on analysis.
  • Processes various loan applications and operates with moderate credit authority.
  • Assist in all lending support functions, which may include but not limited to: completion and filing of death claims, GAP claims, warranty claims, and credit life / disability claims. Work with indirect dealerships in ensuring claims are processed and finalized.


    • High school education or equivalent.
    • At least six months of experience in a branch office of a credit union or financial institution required. Experience in loan interviewing preferred.
    • Professional, well-developed interpersonal skills necessary for servicing Credit Union members and projecting a positive image as representative for the Credit Union.
    • Work requires knowledge of consumer loan policy, credit granting criteria, interest rates and how they are computed, and required documentation for each type of loan.
    • Work requires sound decision making skills with regard to carrying out specific rules, regulations, and procedures.
    • Work requires ability to follow moderately complex instructions; interact positively with co-workers, management and the public; produce a high volume of work in a timely manner with accuracy, completeness, and quality, and analyze out of balance situations and devise solutions.
