
2025 Scholarship Application
The BluCurrent Scholarship Program was established in 1994 to support members of the credit union pursuing further education. Since its inception, the BluCurrent Scholarship has awarded over $94,000 to more than 50 southwest Missouri high school seniors. Learn more about past winners below.
In support of educational advancement and moving our members forward, BluCurrent Credit Union will award $10,000 worth of scholarships for 2025. The scholarship committee will determine how the $10,000 will be awarded among the applicants, with first place receiving no less than $3,000.
Application Requirements
To apply for the scholarship, applicants must be a graduating high school senior and a member (Primary Account Holder) of BluCurrent as of February 15, 2025.
BluCurrent members who are graduating high school seniors and wish to be considered for the scholarship must complete the scholarship application form. The following documents must be completed and accompany the application:
- A copy of the student's transcript
- A teacher recommendation
- A sponsor, coach, or employer recommendation
- A statement from the student
For the application to be considered, it must be submitted in full by March 21, 2025.
Award Selection
Scholarship recipients will be chosen by the BluCurrent Scholarship Committee. Scholarship recipients will be notified on or before April 22nd, 2025. Upon acceptance of admission into the selected college, university, or vocational school, BluCurrent will issue awarded funds directly to the school unless other arrangements are made.

Lillian Cornelison
Dadeville High School graduate. Lillian plans to attend Missouri Southern State University where she will study criminology & biology. After college she plans to work in the field of forensic science.

Zorian Black
Parkview High School graduate. Zorian plans to attend Johnson and Whales University to obtain his bachelor"s in Food & Beverage Management and associates in Culinary Arts.

Cooper Davis
Republic High School graduate. Cooper plans to study computer science with an emphasis in cybersecurity at Missouri University of Science & Technology.

Arabella Cosgrove
Nixa High School graduate. Arabella plans to study Journalism at the University of Missouri, after which she plans to use her degree and talents within the nonprofit industry.

Autumn Fifer
Everton High School graduate. Autumn plans to attend Missouri University of Science & Technology where she will study Civil Engineering. After college she plans to work in the field of transportation.

Ethan Meyer
Republic High School graduate. Ethan plans to attend Rome City Institute in Italy to study International Business and play soccer.

Hannah Bryant
Kickapoo High School graduate. Hannah plans to study Entertainment Management at Missouri State University, after which she plans to own her own event management business.

Chloe Costello
Nixa High School graduate. Chloe plans to attend University of Central Missouri to obtain a BA in Music Production & Technology and minor in Film Production & Music Performance/Education. Her goal is to become a music producer to help businesses and organizations share their story through music & film.

Georgia Davis
Republic High School graduate. Georgia plans to attend Missouri State University to pursue an undergraduate degree in Marketing and minor in Spanish & Psychology. She plans to earn her MBA and Data Analytics certificate after obtaining her undergraduate degree.

Nicholas Brueggermann
College Heights Christian School graduate. Nicholas plans to attend Liberty University and pursue degrees in Artist Development & Business Administration. He plans to use his education and talents to build a career as a singer, songwriter, musician, artist, or worship leader.

Megan Brassard
Nixa High School graduate. Megan plans to study biology at Missouri State University, after which she plans to go to medical school and become a surgeon and specialize in cardiothoracics.

Rachel Senn
Kickapoo High School graduate. Rachel plans to attend William Jewel College where she will study accounting and digital media communications and play on the women's basketball team.

Angel Gonzales
Kickapoo High School graduate. Angel plans to attend Missouri State University to study psychology, agriculture or possibly both.

Emie Harris
Central High School graduate. Emie plans to study animal science at the University of Missouri-Columbia (Mizzou), after which she hopes to go into veterinary school in order to become a wildlife veterinarian.

Madalynn Ward
Strafford High School graduate. Madalynn plans to attend Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pennsylvania where she will study psychology and criminal justice and play volleyball.

Megan Geller
Neosho High School graduate. Megan plans to continue her education at Oklahoma State University where she will study animal science and attend veterinary school. Her goal is to open her own veterinary practice in her hometown, Neosho, MO.

Makenna Grider
Mount Vernon High School graduate. Makenna plans to study plant science at Missouri State University. After college she plans to work for a reputable agricultural company and own a farm where she can raise crops and beef cattle.

Ethan Miller
Glendale High School graduate. Ethan plans to study cognitive science at Brown University. His career goal is to earn a PhD and become a research scientist to learn about the effects of epilepsy.

Devon Rathbun
Parkview High School graduate. Devon plans to pursue a fishing career at McKendree University, where he will obtain an Environmental Science degree. His dream is to become a professional fisherman, but has a back-up plan to become a Conservation Agent.

Cole Franklin
Mount Vernon High School graduate. Cole plans to attend Oklahoma Christian University and major in Business. He hopes to use his experience working at Chick-fil-A and the education he receives to be an owner/operator of his own Chick-fil-A store one day.

Laken Parrish
Willard High School graduate. Laken plans to attend Missouri State University and major in Cellular and Molecular Biology. After obtaining her bachelor’s degree, she plans to attend medical school and become a trauma surgeon.

Lucy Murrow
Ozark High School graduate. Lucy plans to attend Grand Canyon University and major in Fine Arts with an emphasis on photography & film. She plans to use her passion for photography and her education to start her own photography business.

Dorie Lea
Logan-Rogersville High School graduate. Dorie plans to attend Missouri State University and major in Secondary Education. Her career plan is to be an art teacher at the Middle or High School level. Eventually she wants to teach at the University level.

Lindy Fraker
Strafford High School graduate. Lindy plans to attend Southwest Baptist University and major in Elementary Education and obtain her Master"s in Education. She also hopes to utilize a Communication or Theater minor to become a motivational speaker.

Micah Gray
Home School graduate. Micah plans to attend Missouri State University and major in Computer Information Systems, and work as a Server Manager. He is also looking forward to pursuing a law degree.
